Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services seeks a Lead Architect to direct the Architecture Group from our Dublin or Cork office in Ireland. You will lead technical discipline and oversee day-to-day operations of staff, ensuring quality and IPS compliance across complex life sciences projects.

Role requires 10+ years in architecture with supervisory experience, NAAB-accredited degree, architectural registration, and fluency in German. Location: Ireland; travel as needed; safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of architectural experience with supervisory/management responsibility in design and construction.
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with NAAB accreditation.
• Architectural Registration.
• 8+ years in Life Sciences industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of GMP cleanroom design and interfaces with architectural systems.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows.
• Good understanding of building codes.
• Fluent in German.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Architecture Group staff and directs day-to-day operations.
• Ensures quality and adherence to IPS standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Oversees technical output to meet project goals and compliance.
• Manages health, safety, and welfare risks for group projects.
• Develops and implements standards and tools for department output.
• Prepares proposals and supports proposals by others.
• Ensures project specifications meet client quality standards and timelines.
• Assesses project requirements, defines scope with Project Manager, budget, and staffing.
• Reviews drawings and documents for regulatory and IPS compliance.
• Oversees architectural construction administration activities (bulletins, sketches, submittals, RFIs).
• Ensures coordination across documents to reflect design intent.
• Assists design team with mark-up interpretation and change execution.
• Reviews contractor payment applications.
