Spotlight Sports Group’s Racing Post team in Ireland is seeking a senior journalist to deliver exclusive stories on Irish horseracing, on and off the track. You’ll build a formidable network of trainers, jockeys, and industry figures to land powerful scoops and provide analysis, columns and explainer packages for fans.

Qualifications
- Outstanding writing and storytelling skills with a keen eye for scoops.
- Strong network in Irish horseracing, trainers, jockeys and industry contacts.
- Ability to build a wide contacts book and land powerful stories.
- Comfort with data analysis to underpin storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a regular flow of exclusives with strong stories.
- Tailor content to audience for maximum impact.
- Write expert analysis, explainers and columns around major stories.
- Develop and maintain a leading contacts book in the sport.
- Produce audio-visual content as part of editorial packages.
- Pitch ideas to the Ireland editor and execute with flair.
- Contribute ideas for news investigations in planning meetings.
- Monitor racing and betting news to identify items of interest.
