Job summary

O’ Gríofa Woodcraft Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Working Team Leader to join our busy joinery manufacturing team in West Clare. This hands-on role involves leading and coordinating work on the factory floor while working alongside the production team.

You will manufacture internal door sets, skirting and architrave and ensure workmanship meets our high standards, with responsibilities to allocate daily workloads, read drawings and solve production issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years carpentry/joinery experience.
• No formal qualification required.
• Experience leading or supervising a team is advantageous.
• Ability to read drawings and work from measurements.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands‑on carpentry and joinery work
• Lead and support other carpenters and production staff
• Allocate and coordinate daily work
• Read and work from drawings, measurements and job specifications
• Ensure products are manufactured to the required dimensions and quality
• Oversee the preparation and assembly of internal door sets, skirting, architrave and stairs
• Identify and resolve production or quality issues
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Help ensure jobs are completed within production deadlines
• Promote a safe, organised and productive workshop
