Job summary

Davy is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the Information Systems team in a permanent, full-time role in our Dublin city centre office. You will design, build and maintain secure REST APIs using Spring, lead microservices delivery, and mentor junior developers while aligning with governance and SDLC standards.

Your work will span collaboration with stakeholders, vendor evaluations, and ensuring high-quality software through rigorous testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Java/J2EE experience with Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building APIs, REST-based services, and secure web apps.
• Experience with CI/CD and source control in a modern SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions meeting requirements.
• Lead design and implementation of components, services, and features with timely delivery.
• Apply microservices architecture to develop scalable, resilient solutions.
• Evaluate technologies and manage vendor integrations to enhance capabilities.
• Design and develop secure, maintainable technical solutions aligned with standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and improve departmental processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Collaborate with QA and stakeholders to ensure quality of delivered solutions.
• Contribute to strategic objectives and driving innovation.
