Job summary

Davy, a trusted wealth management and capital markets leader, is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Ireland. This permanent, full-time role reports to the Web Development Manager and requires strong Java/J2EE, Spring, and API development skills.

You will design scalable microservices, implement secure, high-performance solutions, mentor juniors, and collaborate with stakeholders across QA and vendors to deliver results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Java/J2EE with Spring ecosystem.
• Experience developing APIs, REST.
• Build tools: Maven, Gradle.
• Web application security experience.
• SQL & RDBMS development (Oracle, MySQL).
• Git and IDEs such as VS Code or IntelliJ.
• Linux operating environment familiarity.
• Experience in Agile or Waterfall SDLC.
• Knowledge of web analytics integration.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to design and deliver solutions meeting requirements.
• Lead design and implementation of new components, services and features with timely delivery.
• Apply microservices architecture to develop scalable, resilient solutions.
• Evaluate technologies and manage vendor integrations to enhance capabilities.
• Design and develop secure, robust technical solutions aligned with standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance.
• Support strategic objectives and drive innovation and operational excellence.
