Job summary

Cisco’s Webex Engineering Group in Galway is seeking a seasoned software engineer to join a hybrid, fast-moving team responsible for end-to-end features and microservices in a scalable, AI-enabled stack.

You will contribute to design and development across the lifecycle, improve test automation, and collaborate with DevOps to operate highly available services in a flexible, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong coding aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.

Your Impact

• Full Lifecycle Development: Technical leadership in an agile team to design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements to our products.
• DevOps & Microservices: Help lead the operational side of our highly available microservice architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3rd Level Qualification: Bachelor's or higher degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Electronic/Software Engineering).
• Work experience: 6+ Years Demonstrated experience in software development.
• Coding Aptitude: Extensive architecture and programming experience and the willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• Problem Solver: Ability to apply and lead a scientific approach and creative skills to complex problems.
• Adaptable & Collaborative: Flexible, thrives in diverse team environments, and communicates clearly and precisely.
• Quality Focus: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

Any of the following skills would be particularly advantageous, but we welcome applications without these:

• Knowledge of programming in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript
• Experience with data science / AI
• Familiarity with Git, DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery
