Job summary

Sabeo is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong Java background to join a hybrid Dublin team. The role focuses on building and sustaining automation frameworks for API and UI testing and driving quality across features.

You will work in an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating closely with software engineers to improve testability, coverage, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with Java.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity, Rest Assured.
• Experience with Maven and CI pipelines.
• Agile/Scrum experience and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to design robust automated tests and report coverage clearly.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to defining the test strategy for new functionality, focusing on optimal test approaches.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new and existing features.
• Responsible for integration testing with required systems, databases, and services.
• Test automation and execution across API and UI tiers.
• Develop, maintain, and document automation frameworks.
• Work with software engineers to improve testability and coverage.
• Promote testing best practices within the team and pursue continuous improvement.
