Job summary

This hands-on senior position requires ownership of features end-to-end, mentorship of colleagues, and collaboration within an Agile team to shape technical direction.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience (JDK 17 or later) with distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs and modern API design.
• Proficiency in Linux, SQL and messaging systems; familiarity with testing frameworks.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated testing practices; JUnit experience.
• Understanding of secure development practices and PCI-DSS considerations.
• Excellent communication and collaborative, Agile/Scrum mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex features across the software lifecycle.
• Design high-performance, scalable Java capabilities and secure APIs.
• Troubleshoot across multi-tiered systems including heap and thread analysis.
• Lead code and design discussions; enforce coding standards and reviews.
• Coordinate releases across a multi-region engineering model.
• Participate in on-call support and drive incident remediation.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the team.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve build, run and release.
