Job summary

Broadridge in Ireland is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join a focused team developing the Collateral Management solution. You will own technical design, implement features, and ensure high-quality code while supporting multiple deployment models for a growing customer base.

This hybrid role offers a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential extension. You will collaborate with teammates to improve team standards and deliver value in an inclusive, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering or application development.
• Strong development and design experience with Java 8+ and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience integrating AI assistants into daily workflows to streamline software development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and client-facing experience.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Docker, Hibernate, and RDBMS (Oracle preferred).
• Desirable: Linux, cloud development, React, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, Spring Security, GraphQL, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality code for the Collateral Management solution.
• Develop new features aligned to the product roadmap for the application.
• Support multiple deployment models for a growing customer base.
• Ensure application performance metrics are achieved and support reliable, efficient delivery.
• Maintain high standards of code quality and apply thoughtful design across development activities.
• Work within Agile development to deliver iterative, high-value outcomes.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with teammates and clients to improve designs and tooling.
