Job summary

Davy in Dublin is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join its Information Systems team. You will design, build and maintain scalable Java applications, focusing on microservices with Spring, REST APIs, and secure coding practices.

You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with stakeholders and QA, and contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated testing. A hybrid working model in a large financial services environment is offered.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree in Computer Science or IT is required.
• 5+ years of Java/J2EE experience with Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building REST APIs and web applications.
• Solid knowledge of Maven/Gradle, Git, and IDEs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver scalable Java solutions.
• Lead design and implementation of new components and services.
• Apply microservices architecture to build resilient systems.
• Evaluate new technologies and manage vendor integrations.
• Write secure, maintainable code and maintain documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure quality through QA collaboration.
• Contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
