Job summary

eir business talent seeks a Senior IT/OT Automation Engineer to lead complex IT/OT projects onsite in Athlone. You will own work packages, coordinate across engineering, operations, IT security and vendors, and deliver safe, compliant outcomes with strong governance.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of relevant experience, expertise with PLC/SCADA systems, and knowledge of MES/ITIL processes. This is a long-term, full-time, onsite role with a focus on delivery leadership.

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering IT/OT projects independently in pharma or manufacturing settings.
Strong governance, controls, risk management and stakeholder engagement experience.
Experience with plant networking, SCADA installations/upgrades, MES deployments, and IT/OT integrations.
Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of IT/OT projects including scope, schedule, budget, resources and benefits realization.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, IT security, vendors and integrators to align objectives.
Gather requirements and provide design oversight for OT systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS, historian, MES, OT networking).
Ensure safety, cybersecurity, quality throughout delivery including change control and commissioning.
Oversee procurement, vendor performance, and delivery milestones; manage risks and escalations.
Lead testing, FAT/SAT, UAT, documentation, training, and handover to support teams.
