Job summary

Bloomberg in Dublin is seeking an experienced iOS software engineer to join our mobile engineering group. You will build native iOS apps in Swift and contribute to server-side tooling.

You'll work across a modern iOS stack, collaborate with UX and Product teams, and help scale systems for a global financial audience. The role offers opportunities for leadership and technical growth.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing native iOS applications using Swift.
• Experience building modern iOS architectures and UI systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including concurrency, algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing maintainable, modular and testable software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A pragmatic and thoughtful approach to solving complex engineering problems.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field of study, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Become part of an established team containing a diverse mix of engineers, alongside dedicated representatives from UX, QA and Product.
• Build high-quality native iOS applications using Swift.
• Work across a highly-diverse technology stack around the iOS platform.
• Be responsible for the app's server-side infrastructure (Python, C++) and tools.
• Collaborate closely with other technology teams to align technical direction and solve shared engineering challenges.
• Partner with Product and UX teams to deliver intuitive mobile experiences for complex workflows.
• Help foster a culture of sustained, high-quality delivery through collaboration, testing and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of challenging engineering problems related to scale, reliability and real-time systems.

Our Mobile teams develop, design and define the mobile experience for tens of thousands of users daily. Engineers specialising in mobile UI, client software, backend infrastructure and services work closely together to take advantage of the latest mobile technologies and techniques - all aimed at building the definitive mobile experience for the financial markets.

You\'ll Need To Have
