FlexManager is seeking an iOS Developer in Galway to design, build and maintain native iOS apps. You will work with designers, PMs, and the wider team to translate requirements into high-performing mobile applications.

The role covers the full app lifecycle: requirements, UI/UX design, coding, testing, and deployment, with ongoing maintenance and backend/API integration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial experience building native iOS applications using SwiftUI.
• Experience designing and developing against RESTful APIs.
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the App Store.

Job Summary

We are looking for an iOS Developer to join our mobile development team. You will specialise in designing, building, and maintaining native iOS applications, working closely with our designers, project managers, and wider development team to translate client and product requirements into well-designed, high-performing mobile applications.

The role spans the full app lifecycle: understanding requirements, designing the user interface and user experience, building app functionality, and testing to ensure the app works reliably. You will also integrate the app with backend systems and third-party APIs, and support the app through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Design: Design and maintain native iOS applications, ensuring a clean, intuitive user experience.
• Software Development: Work within an agile engineering team to build maintainable, scalable code for our mobile products.
• Project Contribution: Contribute across the full development cycle — technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and release.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance and documentation teams to ensure application changes are well understood, tested and documented.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay engaged with evolving mobile application development practices and contribute ideas for improvement.
• Communication: Communicate status, progress, and issues clearly to management and stakeholders.
• Deployment & Maintenance: Take responsibility for deploying releases to the App Store (or other distribution channels), maintaining the app over time, fixing bugs, and adding new features as required.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ commercial experience building native iOS applications, including writing the code and scripts needed to develop app functionality using SwiftUI.
• Experience designing and developing against RESTful APIs.
• Experience troubleshooting issues and consuming third-party APIs.
• Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the App Store.
• Great communication skills, able to explain technical topics to non-technical colleagues.
• Strong time management, able to deliver high-quality output across multiple projects on fixed timelines.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for iOS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Awareness of mobile security and data protection considerations.

• A proactive approach with a creative eye and a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment alongside cross-functional teams, including product owners, development and support teams.
