Job summary

Cadence is seeking a Senior International Accountant in Dublin to join the Country Financial Controller team. This role focuses on financial close, balance sheet ownership, US GAAP accounting, tax compliance and audits within a shared services environment.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA with 1–3 years PQE, fluent English, and strong GAAP knowledge, contributing to Sarbanes-Oxley controls and cross-border processes.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • 1–3 years PQE preferable
  • Fluent English
  • Considerable experience of financial statement preparation
  • Good working knowledge of GAAP

Responsibilities

  • Financial accounting: monthly, quarterly and year-end close
  • Ownership of balance sheet and profit & loss
  • Quarter-end reporting
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • US GAAP lease accounting
  • Statutory audits and reporting
  • US GAAP year-end audit clearance
  • Tax returns and audits
  • VAT compliance and reporting
  • Cash flow forecasting and management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • M&A integration support
  • Ensure processes align with corporate policies
  • Interact with cross-functional teams across Europe and US

Job Title: Senior International Accountant Term of Contract: Full Time, Permanent Location: Dublin 3 Reports to: Accounting Supervisor, Dublin

Job Overview: Country Financial Controller as a member of the EMEA Controller Team, working in a shared services environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial accounting Monthly, Quarterly and Year end close Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ownership of balance sheet & profit and loss
  • Quarter end reporting
  • Fixed asset accounting for the entities
  • US GAAP lease accounting for the entities
  • Statutory audit and reporting
  • US GAAP year-end audit clearance
  • Corporate income tax returns
  • Tax audits and enquiries from tax authorities
  • Tax compliance VAT compliance and reporting
  • Cash flow and balance sheet forecasting
  • Cash management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for the entities
  • M&A integration support
  • Ensure financial processes are in accordance with and adhere to corporate policies
  • Key role as part of Finance team with key interfaces with other internal customers and European controllers, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cadence US treasury, US Corporate accounting, US Tax and local tax advisers.
  • Ad hoc projects
Job Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified accountant – ACA/ACCA
  • 1-3 years PQE preferable
  • Fluent English
  • Considerable experience of Financial statement preparation
  • Good working knowledge of GAAP
Additional Skills/Preferences:
  • SAP experience
  • US GAAP/MNC experience
  • European language skills – not required but a bonus
  • Ability to deliver to immovable deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong sense of responsibility for completion of deliverables to meet own objectives
  • Ability to work within a matrix business structure with internal customers in multicultural environment with multiple locations and time zones
