Job summary

Primark Ireland is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead risk-based internal audits, focusing on store operations, retail processes and customer-facing activities. You will manage audit teams, deliver end-to-end audits and report findings to senior management from our Dublin HQ.

The role offers exposure to a fast-growing value fashion retailer with strong governance and development opportunities, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit. Limited travel is required.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in audit, assurance and/or risk management.
• Solid knowledge of risk-based auditing standards and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with data analytics is preferred.
• Big 4 / Top 10 professional services experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver end-to-end audits across Primark operations.
• Perform robust risk assessments and define audit scopes and objectives.
• Independently lead audit fieldwork and supervise team members.
• Prepare clear, insightful audit reports with practical recommendations.
• Act as the primary audit contact for management within assigned areas.
• Hold opening/closing meetings and ensure timely issue clearance.
• Build effective relationships while maintaining audit independence.
• Lead and coach auditors on engagements and review outputs.
• Track management action plans and validate remediation of findings.
• Support annual audit planning and reporting to Exec/ Audit Committee.
