Job summary

Cumming Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our cost management and estimating team. You will work on multiple projects, developing budgets, cost models, and detailed estimates from limited information.

The role requires at least 5 years in estimating or quantity surveying, strong analytical skills, and experience with BIM cost modeling and value engineering. You will build client relationships and lead bid preparations.

Qualifications

• Develop high-level budgets, cost models, and estimates from limited information.
• Thorough project assessment of specifications and requirements.
• Conduct material takeoffs to quantify resources for each component.
• Prepare precise cost estimates including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze costs, overhead, and margins to define competitive bids.
• Lead bid strategies and organize bid packages for submission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review budgets, cost plans, and order-of-magnitude estimates.
• Lead client interactions to clarify project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with teams on value engineering options and cost-savings.
• Prepare sub-contractor analyses and assess change orders.
• Manage contract administration and supplier relationships.
• Provide reports to senior management and mentor junior staff.
