Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced Incident Response Manager (IRM) to safeguard our financial ecosystem by leading end-to-end fraud and abuse incident response. You will coordinate cross-functional workstreams, investigate high-risk activity, and drive improvements to scale detection and response.

You will leverage expertise in fraud, abuse, or product trust to build automated workflows and play a critical role in incident management across Stripe’s global operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading security or fraud incident response.
• Bachelor's or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of Python and SQL, plus familiarity with other languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead fraud and abuse incident response end-to-end as Incident Response Manager (IRM).
• Investigate, mitigate, and remediate urgent fraud incidents (e.g., ATO, card testing).
• Classify high-risk accounts using FT3 to standardize threat intelligence.
• Develop and execute incident response runbooks and strategies.
• Partner with security, data science, legal, and policy teams to improve response.
• Mentor teammates and deliver key incident engineering projects.
