Job summary

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail seeks an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure projects meet scope, quality and schedule targets within a regulated transport environment.

You will influence senior stakeholders, drive risk management and governance, and ensure smooth transition to business-as-usual operations. Strong leadership and delivery focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years’ experience delivering large-scale ICT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale ICT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Own delivery across all phases with PMO governance and controls.
• Define project scope, objectives and success measures with stakeholders.
• Develop, manage, and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, resources, and interdependencies.
• Manage project budgets (typically > €5 million) with forecasting and reporting.
• Provide regular reporting to sponsors and governance forums.
• Identify and escalate risks/issues with proactive mitigation.
• Ensure governance, assurance and documentation standards are met.
• Build relationships with Cyber Security, Architecture, Service Delivery and vendors.
• Collaborate with Group functions and regulators (e.g. NTA).
