Job summary

GTS Group Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager to deliver rail systems projects across Ireland from Dublin. You will manage projects from planning to delivery and handover, coordinating engineering teams, site teams and suppliers to ensure timely, safe completions.

You will lead interfaces, manage risks, and report progress to clients and senior stakeholders while supporting bids and project mobilisation for a growing portfolio of rail contracts.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing rail systems or safety-critical projects.
  • Background in signalling, electrification, or telecoms.
  • Understanding possessions, interfaces, testing and commissioning.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • PRINCE2 or APM qualification, or equivalent experience.

Job description

We’re recruiting a Project Manager to deliver rail systems projects across Ireland. Our client has recently secured several rail and transport infrastructure contracts and is growing its Dublin team.

You’ll manage projects from early planning through to delivery and handover, coordinating engineering teams, site teams and suppliers. This is an opportunity to help establish how projects are delivered as the business expands in Ireland.

What you’ll do
  • Manage project scope, programme, cost, risk and quality.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering and site activities across signalling, electrification, power or telecoms projects.
  • Keep technical interfaces, dependencies and delivery risks under control.
  • Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring work meets rail safety and assurance requirements.
  • Report progress to clients and senior stakeholders, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Support bids, early contractor involvement and project mobilisation.
What you’ll bring
  • Project management experience in rail systems or a closely related safety-critical sector.
  • A background in signalling, electrification and power, telecoms or another rail engineering discipline.
  • An understanding of how possessions, engineering interfaces, testing and commissioning affect delivery.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing several activities at once.
  • A project management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2, or equivalent experience.
