Job summary

GCS Recruitment is recruiting a Senior IAM Engineer for a Dublin-based hybrid role focusing on Microsoft Entra ID. The role involves designing, implementing and optimising secure identity solutions within a complex Microsoft environment.

You will lead CA policy implementations, MFA/passwordless and PIM, while driving Zero Trust initiatives and identity governance. Strong PowerShell skills and collaboration with security teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Identity & Access Management.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Microsoft Entra ID solutions across the organisation.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of Conditional Access policies and authentication controls.
• Configure and manage MFA, Passwordless Authentication and SSPR.
• Drive Zero Trust identity initiatives and improve security posture.
• Manage identity lifecycle processes including Joiner, Mover and Leaver workflows.
• Integrate cloud and on-prem identities using Entra Connect and Cloud Sync.
• Administer PIM and privileged access controls.
• Implement Identity Governance: Access Reviews and Entitlement Management.
• Support Defender for Identity and identity threat detection initiatives.
• Automate identity administration using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Cloud teams to deliver secure identity solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer as required.

Senior IAM Engineer (Microsoft Entra ID)

Dublin (Hybrid) | 12-Month Daily Rate Contract | Competitive Day Rate

We're working with a well-established enterprise organisation embarking on a significant Identity & Access Management transformation. They're looking for an experienced Senior IAM Engineer with deep expertise across the Microsoft identity stack, particularly Microsoft Entra ID, to play a key role in strengthening and modernising their identity security capabilities.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, implement and enhance secure identity solutions across a complex Microsoft environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Microsoft Entra ID solutions across the organisation.

• Lead the implementation and optimisation of Conditional Access policies and authentication controls.

• Configure and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Passwordless Authentication and Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR).

• Drive Zero Trust identity initiatives and improve the organisation's overall security posture.

• Manage identity lifecycle processes, including Joiner, Mover and Leaver workflows.

• Integrate cloud and on-premises identities using Entra Connect and Cloud Sync.

• Administer Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and privileged access controls.

• Implement Identity Governance capabilities, including Access Reviews and Entitlement Management.

• Support Microsoft Defender for Identity and identity threat detection initiatives.

• Automate identity administration using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.

• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Cloud teams to deliver secure identity solutions.

Required Experience

• 5+ years' experience working within Identity & Access Management.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Proven experience implementing and managing Conditional Access policies.

• Experience with Multi-Factor Authentication, Passwordless Authentication and modern identity security controls.

• Hands-on experience with Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

• Experience with Identity Governance, Access Reviews and Entitlement Management.

• Knowledge of Hybrid Identity, Active Directory and Entra Connect.

• Strong understanding of authentication protocols including SAML, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.

• Experience implementing Zero Trust security principles.

• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
