Job summary

Sisk is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to lead the safety function across major construction projects. You will provide expert guidance to project teams, embed safety into planning and delivery, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, environment and wellbeing standards on site.

Ideal candidates will have NEBOSH qualifications, IOSH membership and a proven track record managing safety on large-scale infrastructure and building schemes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice in construction.
• Proven experience in managing safety on large construction projects.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage all levels of staff.
• Excellent organisational, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to identify, assess and manage risks in dynamic project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the health and safety function on assigned projects
• Provide advice and direction to project managers, engineers and supervisors on safety requirements
• Ensure safety is embedded in planning, delivery and close-out stages of the project
• Carry out regular inspections, audits and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and provide support where required
