Job summary

Sisk, a family-owned international construction and engineering group, seeks a Senior Health & Safety Manager to provide direct operational support to project teams, ensuring health, safety, environment, quality and wellbeing standards on site.

You will lead safety on assigned projects, drive compliance and risk management, and promote a culture of safety across teams, reporting to leadership with regular safety metrics.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice in construction.
• Proven experience in managing health and safety on large construction projects.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage all levels of staff.
• Excellent organisational, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to identify, assess and manage risks in dynamic project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the health and safety function on assigned projects.
• Provide advice and direction to project managers, engineers and supervisors on safety requirements.
• Ensure safety is embedded in planning, delivery and close-out stages of the project.
• Carry out regular inspections, audits and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and provide support where required.
• Prepare and present regular safety reports to project and business unit leadership.
