Job summary

Ayrton Group is seeking a Senior Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join our engineering team in Ireland. You will provide expert HSE guidance across design, construction and commissioning projects in the power and multi-utility sectors, ensuring compliance and high safety standards.

Key responsibilities include acting as PSDP when required, leading risk assessments and incident investigations, and promoting a proactive safety culture across project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in health, safety or environmental management and a professional H&S qualification.
• Significant experience as HSE Advisor/Senior HSE Advisor in engineering, construction, utilities or infra.
• Experience acting as or closely with a PSDP.
• Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and design risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert H&S advice across engineering, construction and commissioning projects.
• Act as PSDP where required, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Coordinate HSE activities through design and project lifecycle.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and safety docs.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop project-specific HSE plans and environmental controls.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the organisation.
• Liaise with clients, designers, contractors and regulators on HSE matters.
