Job summary

Ayrton Group has an immediate requirement for a Health and Safety Advisor on a pharmaceutical project with an electrical engineering contractor in the Limerick region. This is a short-term contract role of 5 weeks with potential for extension.

Responsibilities include conducting regular site audits, advising on safety topics, assisting with subcontractor management, coordinating safety training, inspecting premises, and maintaining incident reporting and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years work experience in Health and Safety.
• Minimum recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
• Pharmaceutical environments experience preferred.
• Experience on electrical projects preferred.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification required.
• Must be able to work on own initiative and be innovative.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Eligible to live and work in Ireland.

• Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
• Assist in the management of subcontractors.
• Assist in the initiation and organization of health and safety training of employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
• Maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
• Reviewing the SWPs (Safe Work Plans) for tasks on site.

Requirements:

• 5+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
• Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical environments is preferred.
• Experience working on electrical projects is preferred.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
• Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
