Job summary

MCS Group is exclusively recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for a leading electrical contractor delivering data centre and large-scale projects across Ireland.

Based in Leinster, the role focuses on monitoring compliance, conducting inspections and risk assessments, and supporting site teams to uphold the highest H&S standards. NEBOSH is essential; data centre experience is advantageous; a full driving licence is required and an on-site gym is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, engineering or M&E.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience on large-scale or fast-paced construction projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Data centre project experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support site teams in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Provide health & safety guidance to operational teams.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of health & safety documentation.
