Job summary

BD in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Manager – Hardware Engineering to lead and scale the RCI hardware engineering team across mechanical, electrical, controls, and systems. You’ll own engineering excellence, talent development, and resource management at the site.

You will partner with global peers to ensure alignment of tools, processes, and strategic direction, while driving governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related field).
• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience with significant leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams in complex product development environments.
• Strong understanding of medical device development, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a multi-disciplinary hardware engineering team (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Systems).
• Lead hiring, performance management, and development planning to support growth.
• Drive governance, design reviews, and engineering rigor across programs.
• Collaborate with global delivery and cross-functional teams to align priorities and resources.
