Job summary

CrowdStrike in Ireland and the UK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud to join the Threat Detection and Incident Response team, building Go-based microservices at petabyte-scale to empower security analysts.

You will design, develop, and operate distributed systems, integrating AI-powered workflows and enabling faster threat detection and investigation.

We value autonomy and ownership, with strong Go, Python, Java, or C++ skills and experience with Docker/Kubernetes on AWS or GCP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building distributed systems or cloud-native services at scale.
• Strong understanding of RESTful patterns and multithreading.

Responsibilities

• Own system design and architecture decisions; RFC processes.
• Develop Go-based microservices supporting threat detection and incident workflows.
• End-to-end ownership of technical initiatives with teams across groups.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to implement solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Contribute to AI-powered capabilities including LLM integration and agentic workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotation and improve system reliability.
