Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist for a biopharmaceutical company in Cork.

You will own complex international customer portfolios, drive cash collection, reduce DSO and support credit decisions across the Order-to-Cash process. The role requires strong Credit & Collections experience in a multinational environment, plus Excel proficiency and ERP familiarity (SAP or Oracle).

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong background in Credit & Collections within a multinational or shared services environment.
• Solid understanding of, and experience working across, the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
• ERP experience, preferably SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large, complex international debtor portfolio, driving continuous improvement in DSO, overdue exposure and cash collection performance.
• Ensure timely and effective follow-up on due and overdue invoices through a structured collections approach.
• Partner with the Credit Risk team to conduct credit assessments and support recommendations on customer credit limits.
• Support and manage credit block activities, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
• Prepare and interpret monthly DSO, ageing and flux analysis for management.
• Partner with Commercial, Customer Service and Finance stakeholders to influence outcomes on complex credit issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support enhancements to credit and collections processes.
• Deliver high standard of customer service while balancing commercial objectives with customer relationships.
• Provide cover for colleagues as needed within Credit & Collections.
