Job summary

Cpl is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade agentic AI systems in a global R&D environment. The role emphasizes reliability, scalability, and end-to-end delivery of real-world AI products across tool integrations, memory, and planning components.

You will collaborate with data science, backend, and delivery teams to deploy scalable AI solutions and drive continuous AI innovation within a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production-grade AI systems end-to-end
• Develop stateful agent workflows with planning, tool use, memory, and human-in-the-loop controls
• Implement advanced retrieval and grounding techniques such as hybrid search and contextual assembly
• Build secure tool integrations and expose services for agent consumption
• Apply engineering discipline to AI evaluation with regression tests, metrics, and release gates
• Implement LLMOps and AgentOps to monitor cost, latency, quality, and performance
• Optimize AI systems for performance, reliability, and cost across models/providers
• Build and operate backend services, Python APIs, workflow orchestration, event-driven systems
• Collaborate with data science, backend, and delivery teams to scale AI solutions
• Contribute to reusable components and technical documentation
• Ongoing AI innovation initiatives and governance
• Must have minimum stamp 4/1G Spousal and be within commutable distance to Dublin
