Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 2+ years in accounting/finance/audit or related environment.
  • Experience in fund accounting or investment operations advantageous but not required.
  • An accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CA or equivalent), or progress towards one, is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to explain complex information.
  • Comfort with learning new systems and technologies; highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for clients, ensuring timely query resolution.
  • Review NAV calculations for multiple funds and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide daily support across locations to promote collaboration.
  • Coach and develop Fund Accountants through reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient client service.
  • Support regulatory reporting including CB Ireland filings and deadlines.
  • Identify recurring NAV issues and drive process improvements.
  • Assist onboarding of complex funds and transitions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement to boost team performance.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely resolution of queries and issues in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.
Technical Oversight & Development
  • Provide daily support to colleagues across locations to promote collaboration and team productivity.
  • Train and develop Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants through coaching, reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of client services.
NAV Calculation & Review
  • Review and approve NAV calculations for multiple funds, ensuring a high level of accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of NAV calculations on an exception basis, as required to meet client deliverables.
  • Prepare, review and coordinate regulatory reporting requirements, including Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Identify recurring NAV issues and work with relevant stakeholders to implement solutions and process improvements.
Operational Excellence
  • Implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, resource allocation and overall service delivery.
  • Ensure all processes and activities are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the onboarding of complex funds and support operational transitions where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving team performance and client outcomes.
Audit and Financial Statements
  • Liaise with auditors, clients and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of audit-related queries.
  • Support the delivery of financial reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, financial reporting, reconciliations, or a similar professional environment.
  • Experience in fund accounting, asset management, investment operations, or working with investment companies is advantageous but not required.
  • An accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent), or progress towards one, would be a significant advantage.
  • You have an interest in financial markets, investment strategies, and financial products, and are motivated to expand your knowledge in these areas.
  • You are recognized for your strong communication and relationship-building skills and can confidently explain complex information to a range of audiences.
  • You are comfortable working with technology and learning new systems, tools, and processes.
  • You have a highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • You enjoy solving problems, investigating exceptions, and finding practical solutions.
  • You are capable of working independently, taking ownership of outcomes, and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Whether your background is in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial services, fund accounting, or audit, you bring strong accounting fundamentals, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn complex financial products and processes.
