Job summary

RECRUITERS is assisting a client in Dublin seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/React) on a 12-month daily-rate contract. You will work within a mixed tech landscape, delivering features and owning the full software lifecycle from design through deployment and production support.

You'll contribute to scalable microservices and modern frontend work, collaborating with distributed teams, ensuring security, performance and reliability across payment platforms. Dublin hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Proficiency with Java and React.
• Experience with Spring Boot and SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop modern frontend applications using React.
• Work across legacy monolithic systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Design and build secure, high-performance APIs and distributed systems.
• Deliver features from design through production support.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and globally distributed teams.
• Drive code quality, testing, CI/CD and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to PoCs.
