Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing Dublin-based technology company to hire a Senior Frontend Developer. You will take genuine technical ownership of frontend work from early ideas through to production in a collaborative engineering environment.

The role demands tackling loosely defined problems, shaping solutions with Product and Engineering, and making architectural decisions. You will work with React or Vue, build modern web apps, and ensure secure, high-quality code.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of commercial JavaScript experience.
• Proven ownership of substantial frontend features or apps.
• Ability to shape loosely defined requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working directly with Product, Design, or stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of APIs and frontend-backend interactions.
• Experience in secure development practices.
• Ability to work autonomously within a small product engineering team.
• Excellent communication across a small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of frontend features from requirements to production.
• Shape technical solutions with Product and Engineering.
• Define how features should work with Product to clarify requirements.
• Make frontend architectural and technical decisions.
• Break large problems into deliverable pieces.
• Build and develop modern web applications using React and Vue.
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs and services.
• Investigate issues beyond frontend when needed.
• Contribute to code quality, maintainability, and engineering standards.
• Consider security and potential vulnerabilities when building new functionality.
