MCS Group is partnering with a Dublin-based technology company to hire a Senior Frontend Developer. You will join a small, collaborative engineering environment with ownership over features and opportunities to contribute beyond frontend.

You'll work across modern JavaScript apps, primarily on frontend, using React and Vue, with collaboration across product and engineering teams, APIs, and occasional backend tasks. The role offers hybrid work, salary up to €70,000, and benefits.

• Strong commercial JavaScript experience.
• Experience owning and delivering features rather than simply completing tickets.
• Good understanding of APIs and how frontend and backend systems interact.
• Some backend exposure or a willingness to work outside the frontend when required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• An understanding of secure development practices.
• Someone comfortable working within a smaller, collaborative engineering team.

Senior Frontend Developer

Location: Dublin - Hybrid, 2 days onsite
Salary: Up to €70,000 + benefits

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing Dublin-based technology company as they continue to invest in their product and engineering team.

They're looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join a small, collaborative engineering environment where you'll have plenty of ownership over what you build and the opportunity to work across more than just the frontend.

The Role

This is primarily a frontend position, working across modern JavaScript applications and building new functionality as the product continues to evolve.

There's a strong pipeline of new development ahead, with several larger frontend-focused projects coming up. You'll be trusted to take ownership of features, make technical decisions and work closely with product and the wider engineering team to get things delivered.

While frontend will be your specialism, this isn't an environment where engineers are heavily siloed.

You won't need to be a backend expert, but you should be comfortable understanding how the wider application works, interacting with APIs and occasionally making smaller backend changes when needed.

We're Looking For

• Strong commercial JavaScript experience
• Experience with React, Vue or another modern JavaScript framework
• Experience owning and delivering features rather than simply completing tickets
• Good understanding of APIs and how frontend and backend systems interact
• Some backend exposure or a willingness to work outside the frontend when required
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• An understanding of secure development practices
• Someone comfortable working within a smaller, collaborative engineering team
• Experience working within a Start-up or scale-up environment

You don't need commercial experience with both React and Vue. Strong experience with one modern JavaScript framework and the ability to adapt is more important.

Nice to Have

• PHP backend experience
• SaaS or B2B product experience
• Experience working within a regulated or security-conscious environment
• Portfolio, GitHub or examples of products you've helped build
