Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Frontend Engineer in Dublin, Ireland, operating in a hybrid role. You will join a cross-functional Agile team to design, build, test, and release robust frontend features using JavaScript and TypeScript.

You will work with Product Design and other stakeholders to translate user needs into scalable frontend solutions, ensuring quality, security, and cross-browser compatibility while embracing modern development practices and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on software development experience.
• Experience building production frontend applications with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and the DOM.
• Experience integrating frontend apps with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Secure frontend development practices.
• Experience ensuring cross-browser and cross-device reliability.
• Experience incorporating AI-powered tools into development workflows.

Responsibilities

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 3+ years hands-on software development experience
• Experience building production frontend applications using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue)
• Strong understanding of core web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and the DOM)
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and working within frontend build and CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of secure frontend development practices
• Experience ensuring applications perform reliably across modern browsers and devices
• Experience incorporating AI-powered tools into development workflows (e.g., code generation, testing, accessibility checks)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience working in international/multi-site environments with exposure to remote-team setup and tools
• Experience working in early-stage technology companies (advantage)
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical regulated industry (advantage)
