Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Angular Developer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for a Management Portal supporting Risk and Finance Technology initiatives in Dublin.

You will design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade web applications using Angular 17+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end tooling, collaborating with product owners and architects in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

This is an opportunity to work on a business-critical application within a collaborative Agile environment, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the front-end architecture, ensuring application stability, usability, and maintainability while working closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Angular and modern front-end technologies.
• Build highly responsive, scalable, and performant user interfaces for business-critical applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and provide guidance on front-end best practices, architecture, and coding standards.
• Develop reusable components, services, and UI patterns to improve consistency and development efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues while ensuring optimal application performance and stability.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum delivery model, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Support the continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external development teams to coordinate successful delivery of application enhancements and new functionality.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Front-End or Angular Developer within enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in Angular 17+ and modern front-end development practices.
• Advanced proficiency in:
• TypeScript 5+
• HTML5
• CSS3
• SASS/SCSS
• RxJS
• Experience building and maintaining Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, reactive programming, and front-end performance optimisation.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
