Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to join the Consumer Systems Software team in Ireland. You will contribute to system-level architectures, and develop firmware for sensor and audio/video processing with thorough documentation.

The role involves designing and optimizing DSP algorithms for true wireless systems, integrating offerings into complex customer ecosystems, and debugging all aspects of system software on embedded platforms.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of industrial experience in firmware development.
  • Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Strong knowledge of DSP and algorithm development experience.
  • Experience with machine learning, deep neural network technologies, PyTorch, TensorFlow platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of audio/video DSP cores and Bluetooth Audio Frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-threaded applications.
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with SCM tools (GIT, SVN, ClearCase, Perforce).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system-level firmware for consumer products.
  • Specify, integrate and/or design audio and video DSP algorithms and related signal processing methods.
  • Understand complex customer ecosystems and integrate products accordingly.
  • Develop and debug all aspects of system software across hardware and software.
  • Document architectures and solutions for cross-functional teams.
