Description

HR Path Talent Management are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support strategic decision making across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, managing financial planning and analysis processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate management reporting to senior leadership.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Financial Control & Governance

• Develop, implement, and monitor robust financial controls and policies.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and risk management procedures.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital requirements.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy across all accounting functions.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Provide detailed financial analysis, KPI reporting, and business insights.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).

8+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.

Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.

Experience managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
