Job summary

Cpl Group is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for a 15-18 month contract with a leading Irish banking group. The role is hybrid with a Dublin base and scope to work from anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.

You will lead the Group Financial Control team, overseeing monthly/quarterly/half-year closes, statutory accounts, and FinRep, while partnering with stakeholders and external auditors to enhance controls and process efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with around 5 years' PQE.
• Experience leading a team in Financial Control or similar.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Proven ability to meet tight reporting deadlines while managing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Banking or financial services reporting experience is advantageous.
• Resident of the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Financial Control team's monthly, quarterly and half-year close to high standards.
• Own Primary Statements, Statutory and FinRep close processes with robust reviews and controls.
• Identify and mitigate risks across end-to-end processes.
• Lead preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts and governance with audit committees.
• Build relationships with Finance stakeholders and external auditors.
• Collaborate with Commercial Partnering to drive efficiencies and improvements.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and set a culture of accountability and collaboration.
