Job summary

Amazon Ireland Support Services Limited in Cork, Ireland seeks a Senior Financial Accountant to own month-end close processes for AWS EMEA across multiple entities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP with application in daily activities.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
• Experience supporting month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Experience with controls or audits over financial reporting environments.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS EMEA Corporate Accounting close processes across multiple entities, journals, reviews and reconciliations.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation to standardize globally.
• Lead onboarding of new entities, new business offerings and activities with proper controls before launch.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to new product launches and complex transactions.
• Partner with Tax, FP&A and AWS Expansion teams on key initiatives.
• Represent EMEA Accounting on cross-functional projects and reporting.
• Develop deep knowledge of AWS business for internal and external reporting.
• Prepare and review complex statutory financial statements and reports.
