Morgan McKinley Ireland is seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established West Limerick business. You will lead month-end and year-end close, manage the general ledger, and deliver timely financial reporting while partnering with operations and commercial teams.

The role offers exposure to budgeting, FP&A, VAT and audit activities, plus mentoring of junior staff. Strong Excel and ERP skills, attention to detail and excellent stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with strong accounting and reporting skills.
• 7+ years' post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of management reporting, controls and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Managing the General Ledger, journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany accounting.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities.
• Managing VAT, statutory reporting and audit requirements.
• Supporting internal controls and compliance activities.
• Providing financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management.
• Supporting inventory accounting, costing and variance analysis.
• Working closely with operations, supply chain and commercial teams.

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established business in West Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a broad role with strong exposure to financial reporting, commercial finance, controls and business partnering. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities of the business, while partnering with operational and commercial teams to support business performance.
