Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum eight years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Big 4 training or experience required.
• Experience in a multinational organisation.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with SOX requirements and internal controls.
• Ability to review complex collaboration arrangements.
• Experience managing accounting activities and reporting deadlines.
• Experience using SAP would be advantageous.
• Experience with alliance/collaboration accounting beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end accounting and reporting for alliance and collaboration arrangements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate collaboration-related receipts and payments.
• Analyse financial results and provide variance explanations.
• Prepare management reports and external reporting schedules.
• Maintain an effective internal control environment.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Corporate Development and other stakeholders.
• Review complex collaboration arrangements for accounting matters.
• Communicate accounting issues clearly and within timelines.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and balance sheet reviews.
• Support budgets and forecasts preparation and review.
• Lead or support finance projects and process improvements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and reporting activities.
