Hero Recruitment Group in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist (Environmental) to lead the design, implementation, and review of environmental programmes ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance.

You will manage IED licence obligations, EPA interfaces, environmental systems, waste management, and lead audits while coaching a small team and driving sustainability initiatives.

Competenze

• Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental Science, Science, Engineering, or EHS.
• Good knowledge of environmental and dangerous goods legislation and best practices.
• Experience with regulatory agencies such as EPA and local authorities.
• Experience in pharmaceutical environments or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Mansioni

• Manage environmental matters relating to the Industrial Emissions Directive Licence, ensuring monitoring compliance for air emissions, groundwater, noise, wastewater and surface water.
• Act as primary site contact for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Lead site abatement systems and oversee wastewater treatment and carbon abatement improvements.
• Own the environmental budget including waste management and external services.
• Lead incident investigations, audits, and programme reviews to ensure permits and policies are followed.
