Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our growing environmental team in Ireland. You will lead and coordinate environmental assessments, engage stakeholders, and mentor junior staff while supporting bids and business development.

The role focuses on delivering EIAs, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and ensuring high-quality environmental outcomes across projects in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Membership or chartership of a recognised environmental professional body (e.g., ISEP, CIWEM).
• Strong understanding of Irish planning legislation, environmental regulations and EU Directives.
• Experience in coordinating EIAs and environmental assessments and managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs.
• Experience in supporting bids, proposals or other business activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental assessments across projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and author chapters and reviews.
• Engage with stakeholders during EIA and planning processes.
• Manage project activities including programming, resources, and budget control.
• Assist with tender preparations and business development.
