Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our growing environmental team in Ireland. The role focuses on supporting Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental assessments across projects, with a pathway to broaden the workstream and team in the region.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, manage tasks within projects, and contribute to tender preparations and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience of working within an environmental consultancy.
• Experience in coordinating EIAs and environmental assessments and managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs.
• Strong understanding of Irish planning legislation, environmental regulations and EU Directives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under own initiative and comfortable with working on multiple projects and tasks at any one time.
• Commitment to continuing professional development

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental assessments.
• Assisting with the coordination of multidisciplinary teams
• Involvement across all project life stages (feasibility, option selection, outline design, to detailed design and construction).
• Critical eye for detail to ensure deliverables are produced to the highest quality standards
• Take responsibility for contributing to environmental assessments
• Effectively manage discreet tasks within projects
• Assist in the delivery of project activities, including planning coordinating resources and tracking budgets
• Engage with stakeholders in a professional manner under project manager guidance
• Contribute to the preparation of bids and proposals
• Assisting with team business development and marketing
