Job summary

Qualifications

  • MS in Engineering with 3+ years of experience or BSc in Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor industry functional areas like Quality, Process, Product, and/or Yield engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes with experience in process and device-related defect characterization and failure mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead/cac? collaborate with cross-functional teams to close complex quality issues from initiation to closure.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving to drive root-cause investigation and containment.
  • Interpret SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems.
  • Evaluate non-conforming material and support disposition decisions.
  • Train and mentor other Quality/Process Engineers on core tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA).
  • Participate in audits and review customer-specific requirements.

Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering Job Description ADLK Quality organization’s goal is to achieve customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement through systematic approach to quality management, defect reduction and prevention. The Limerick Front-end Quality team is a dynamic and growing team, focused on delivering world-class quality to our customers. This position will require engagement across departments, leading cross-functional problem-solving efforts, supporting our quality operations and driving continuous improvement activities, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure expedite closure of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure.
  • Facilitate the use of structured problem-solving tools in root-cause investigation and corrective action identification, leading the 8D investigation and resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Interpret SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems.
  • Evaluation of non-conforming material and support disposition of the material.
  • Training and mentoring other Quality or Process Engineers on core tools e.g., SPC Tools, FMEA, MSA.
  • Actively participate in audits from customers and certification authorities; review customer specific requirements and respond to part specific information as required by the customers.
  • Collaborate with Product, Process, Design, Failure Analysis, and Reliability engineering organizations to drive quality improvements & QMS implementation.
  • Work with counterparts across the internal fabs to share results, best practices, and provide comparable data.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • MS in Engineering with 3+ years of experience or BSc in Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor industry functional areas like Quality, Process, Product, and/or Yield engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes with experience in process and device-related defect characterization and failure mechanisms.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and root-cause analysis that will help support our organization's zero-defect initiative.
  • Excellent knowledge of problem-solving tools like 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone analysis, etc.
  • Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Great collaborator that leads through influence.
  • Excellent project planning, scheduling, documentation, training, coordination, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) in high volume semiconductor manufacturing environment and understanding of risk management using FMEA and Control Plan tools.
  • Quality certifications like ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE, etc.
  • Familiarity with industry quality standards like IATF 16949:2016/ISO 9001 #LI-CO1.
