Job summary

Cairn seeks a Senior Engineer for our Saggart project to lead technical and site operations. You will own Health and Safety on the project, review design drawings, raise RFIs, and actively participate in design team meetings while coordinating subcontractors to meet timelines.

You will ensure compliance with Building Regulations and quality standards, driving continuous improvement across the team. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience.
• HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate.
• Able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willing to work in a team and take responsibility for tasks.
• Able to lead and mentor direct reports and engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Health and Safety management on the project.
• Review and comment on design drawings and raise RFIs as necessary.
• Participate in Design Team Meetings and review design documents.
• Coordinate subcontractors and service providers to meet testing/commissioning timelines.
• Ensure works comply with Building Regulations and standards.
• Lead on quality management, submittals, and inspection management.
• Champion DMS implementation and BCAR compliance.
• Manage site drawings, records, and QA documentation.
• Chair site and construction team meetings.
