The role has overall accountability for safety, quality, output, process capability, tool performance, and people leadership across a portfolio of precision analogue, CMOS, BiCMOS, bipolar, sensor, MEMS, and actuator technologies.Reporting to the Process Engineering Director, this leader will ensure world-class execution of sustaining operations while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing performance and supporting the development and introduction of future process technologies. The role is responsible for building a high-performing engineering organisation that delivers superior safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and business results.This position is a key member of the Wafer Fab Management Team and is expected to provide leadership beyond their immediate area of responsibility. The role requires a fab-wide perspective, contributing to site strategy, organisational development, operational excellence, and the achievement of overall business objectives.**Key Responsibilities****Safety Leadership*** Champion a safety-first culture across the work centre and ensure safety remains the highest priority in all activities.* Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.* Drive proactive risk identification, mitigation plans, and continuous improvement in safety performance.* Lead investigations into safety incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.**Quality & Process Control*** Own process capability, quality performance, SPC compliance, and defect reduction initiatives across the work centre.* Ensure robust process controls are in place to protect product quality and customer requirements.* Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for significant process and quality excursions.* Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Product teams to continuously improve process performance and reliability.**Output, Capacity & Delivery*** Ensure the work centre delivers output commitments and supports customer delivery requirements.* Drive improvements in cycle time, throughput, productivity, and operational execution.* Partner closely with Manufacturing and Planning teams to remove constraints and maximise factory performance.* Lead recovery plans and execution activities during operational challenges or capacity constraints.**Tool Performance & Asset Effectiveness*** Own tool availability, uptime, utilisation, and overall equipment effectiveness within the work centre.* Drive improvements in equipment performance, reliability, and cost-effective operation.* Partner with Equipment Engineering and Manufacturing to maximise the value and productivity of capital assets.* Ensure tools are capable of meeting technology performance and manufacturing requirements.**Technology Development & Introduction*** Support the development, qualification, and ramp-up of new process technologies and manufacturing capabilities.* Provide technical leadership across precision analogue, CMOS, BiCMOS, bipolar, sensor, MEMS, and actuator technologies.* Ensure successful transfer of new technologies into high-volume manufacturing environments.* Drive continuous improvement in process capability to support future technology roadmaps and business growth.**People Leadership & Organisational Capability*** Lead, coach, mentor, and develop process engineers, senior engineers, and technical leaders.* Build organisational capability, succession plans, and technical depth within the team.* Establish a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.* Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent to support current and future business needs.**Cross-Functional Leadership*** Collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Integration, Quality, Facilities, Planning, and Product teams.* Communicate priorities, risks, recovery plans, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.* Lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve business, operational, and technology objectives.* Support strategic fab initiatives, operational excellence programs, and capacity expansion activities.**Key Qualifications*** 13+ years of experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership.* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
