Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a capable Service Technician to maintain and repair equipment across our operations in Ireland. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, document results, and assist customers with clear communication about service work.

The role involves a 24/7 call-out rota, local driving, and adherence to health and safety policies. The ideal candidate has apprentice-trained mechanical/electrical skills, a valid driving permit, and preferably an HGV/Bus license.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/electrical experience required.
• Customer service experience is beneficial.
• Locally valid driving permit required.
• HGV/Bus license preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Equipment Reliability by performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance.
• Preventative Maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
• Problem Resolution by escalating complex issues when needed.
• Accurate Documentation for warranties, quality control and service records.
• Continuous Improvement through training to stay updated with techniques.
• Tool and Vehicle Maintenance to keep tools and vehicles clean and ready.
• Health and Safety Compliance with policies and reporting issues.
• Customer Satisfaction by communicating service work clearly and highlighting upsell opportunities.
