Job summary

EM3, a leading energy consultancy headquartered in Limerick, Ireland, seeks a Principal Energy Consultant to oversee large-scale energy assignments and advise clients at a strategic level.

You will lead energy optimisation initiatives across industrial sites, manage stakeholders and budgets, and mentor junior staff while delivering measurable energy savings through robust design reviews and M&V methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Certifications such as CEA, CEM, CMVP or equivalent are desirable.
• 7+ years in energy consulting, audits or sustainability within industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex energy audits and climate action strategies delivering technical and strategic solutions for clients.
• Produce feasibility studies, M&V Reports, Energy Efficient Design Reviews and other energy consultancy services.
• Provide expert advice on energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions and sustainability strategies to achieve client goals.
• Manage client relationships, serving as primary contact for key clients and ensuring high satisfaction.
• Supervise and mentor junior consultants, guiding project execution and client interactions.
• Develop customized energy plans including cost-saving initiatives and decarbonisation measures.
• Drive sustainability programs and help clients attain energy certifications and reduce carbon footprint.
• Monitor regulations to ensure compliance with energy standards and legal requirements.
