Job summary

EM3, a market-leading energy consultancy based in Limerick, Ireland, seeks a Senior Energy Manager to lead end-to-end energy management across industrial client sites. You will conduct audits, develop strategies, and implement ISO 50001 frameworks while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with data scientists.

The role requires 5+ years in energy management, strong client engagement, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in energy management (e.g., CEM, CEA) is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in energy management, consultancy, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience delivering energy audits and implementing energy-saving initiatives.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end energy management services across multiple client sites.
• Conduct energy audits, analyse consumption, and identify opportunities.
• Develop and implement tailored energy management strategies aligned with client operations and sustainability targets.
• Design and support the implementation of energy management systems, including ISO 50001 frameworks.
• Establish site-level energy flows and develop energy performance baselines.
• Lead energy management delivery across a portfolio of sites, with support from junior engineers.
• Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and senior engineers.
• Contribute to team capability development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage time, budgets, and resources across multiple client projects effectively.
• Support business development activities, including identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
